Earlier this week, HCA met with MassHealth and CHIA regarding the newly added supplemental cost report data being asked of Home Health and CSN agencies. HCA conveyed significant concerns that providers will be unable to meet the reporting deadline (mid-September) due to the difficulty in extracting the data being requested. HCA requested that CHIA reconsider this request, or at minimum, significantly delay its due date. HCA explained that many Electronic Medical Record systems are not currently configured to extract the data CHIA is seeking and may require laborious manual extraction.   CHIA is discussing this issue internally and will announce next steps in the coming days. HCA will inform members as soon as possible.
