Provider voices shaping the future of home care licensure in Massachusetts
Why Licensure Matters: Provider Voices from Massachusetts
Last fall, the Massachusetts House overwhelmingly passed H.789 / S.470, An Act to Improve Massachusetts Home Care, and the bill is now awaiting action in the Senate. As legislators consider next steps, licensure policy is actively being shaped—and it is critical that they hear directly from providers delivering care every day.
The Home Care Alliance of Massachusetts is inviting members to record short, plain-spoken videos sharing what home care licensure would mean for patient safety, care quality, workforce stability, and the realities of operating a home care business in Massachusetts. These firsthand perspectives help lawmakers understand how policy decisions affect families, caregivers, and agency sustainability across the Commonwealth.
