HCA’s Harrison Collins Featured in National Coverage on Massachusetts Home Care Licensure
The Home Care Alliance of Massachusetts continues to shape the statewide and national conversation on home care oversight, with Harrison Collins, Director of Legislative Affairs, featured this week in both Home Health Care News and McKnight’s Home Care Daily Pulse.
Following the Massachusetts House’s passage of An Act to Improve Home Care (H.4706), Collins highlighted why establishing licensure for nonmedical home care agencies is long overdue.
“Licensure will ensure that every Massachusetts resident receiving care at home can do so with confidence, knowing their providers are part of a system that values safety and high standards,” Collins told reporters.
The bill now advances to the Senate—a pivotal step toward creating consistent quality, safety, and workforce protections across the state’s rapidly growing home care sector.
And yes—local readers will appreciate that he did use the pizza shop analogy again.
